Heartfull Tavern Demoralized men chilled by frozen starry night, Made good friends with the sight of a distant orange light, Empty canteens and no rations to spare, Maybe we could escape the unforgiving air, A knock on the door followed by a big hearty "Welcome!" In the passing weeks, that's one I've heard quite seldom, "Come on in we've got plenty of home brewed beers!" Our party chuckled and broke into uncontrollable cheers, They said, 'That quest would be impossibly hard!' "It was easier than ever!" cheered the songs of the bard, Maybe some lives were on the edge of being lost, Yet the biggest threat was the unexpected frost, Oh what a blessing it is to be closer warm, For even just a moment, out of the ice storm, Snow falling from the fur of my boots, Quill dancing to keep record of our loots, One day at a time seemed like eternity in the ogre cavern, A moment in here is nothing short of divinitiy, this homely tavern, Remember not only what comes before and after, Just remember to be here and now, full of laughter. ~Mantra | |
